I’ve had a strong passion for photography for as long as I can remember – specialising in event photography and landscape photography. I enjoy capturing the moment in a candid style, whilst keeping out the way – as I respect not everyone likes a camera in their face!

About Jake Riding
I'm twenty-two years old, and I live in the small market town of Helston that's in the South West of Cornwall. I'm currently working freelance as a photographer and website designer.
Upon leaving Helston Community College in 2012, I started up my own photography business; I did various photography work for local and national publications, I even started up a market stall in Helston town selling photographic prints from myself and other local photographers - such as Bob Sharples Photography and James Kitto Photography.
In 2015, I started working for Archmartin Design (also known at AM Design) as a 'digital creative' providing social media management, responsive website design and photography - located initially in Hayle but relocated to Helston (Tresprison Business Park) not long after. Sadly at the start of 2019, I was made redundant from AM Design due to the director of the business decided to close the company and I decided to go freelance as a web designer and photographer.
I also decided to challenge myself, and I applied to Falmouth University for Marine and Natural History Photography - I'll be starting in September 2019 (I'll continue to run this business alongside attending university).
When I'm not building websites or taking photographs, I either enjoy riding my bike with Falmouth Cycles Cycling Club or finding new, hidden places in Cornwall - usually finding a geocache at the same time!
